Wooden houses - Hearty fjord houses

"Hjertelige Fjordhuse" is made from leftover wood from the conversion. Wood that cannot be reused for the farm is cut into small wooden blocks - and then little funny wooden houses are made out of the blocks. Their maritime expression is inspired by the fact that Trelde Næs is a peninsula between Vejle Fjord and Lille Bælt.

The wooden houses "Hearty fjord houses" is a tribute to the area here at Trelde Næs for its maritime beauty.

Often thoughts arise about stories and events that have taken place here in our area over time. These thoughts give rise to odd little ideas, such as imagining a menu placed outside one of the cozy Tree Houses - the so-called Hearty Fjord Houses. A funny example could be that at the restaurant "VEJLE FJORD" you will find today's menu, where "Plums Goulash with potato mash" is listed - intended as a cheerful curiosity. This refers to Harald Plum, the director of the Transatlantisk Kompagni, who owned Trelde Næs from 1919 to 1923. He had a somewhat checkered past, as his fortune was partly derived from his role as a goulash baron during the First World War.

On the menu you can also find "Anes Jagt Gryde with mushrooms". Ane Ryholt acquired Trelde Næs in 1930 and was known as the Næssedronningen, a woman with strong opinions and a reputation for defending her property boundaries with a hunting rifle, according to local tales.
